A catalog of catalog design- COMPREHENSIVE LAYOUTS

Even relatively rough renderings of the products should take into consideration the shape of the actual merchandise. If the item to be shown is a strong vertical in shape and proportion, the space allocated for display should be complimentary. Layout planning to accommodate shape of product will avoid wasted display space. Indicate the merchandise to its best advantage, even if it means having to compromise elsewhere. If props are required for scaling or explanation, plan for them in advance and indicate their use on the comp layouts.

COMPREHENSIVE LAYOUTSEddie Bauer’s Winter-time ‘1984 Catalog had to be selected to show unique graphic design solutions to many product offerings. At a glimpse you can perceive how else the catalog’s fiber comes by. The spreads are meddling with product, but are well projected to carry out woods showmanship consistency. The pace is varied by the free-flow designing and sustaining the occasional use of a decorative outline through the top. The page spreads act easily as optical units, using the entire two-page spread display space effectively. Eddie Bauer’s organic front cover design format is placeable with spectacular nature snaps each publication.
